My name is Emma Lankford. I am 15 years old and I live in Harrisonburg, Virginia. I have been doing Girl Scouts for nine years (since I was a brownie — I’m a senior now), and now I’m working on earning my Gold Award. I am a sophomore at Harrisonburg High School and am a member of the Governor’s STEM Academy. I am also an avid member of the high school’s debate team and participate in many tournaments and invitationals. I am on the Westover Waves swim team in the summer, and I swim for the high school during the winter. My favorite subjects in school are math and science (particularly biology), and I hope to do something in those fields when I’m older.
